Crafting Series – Mounts

Note from Bob: This post is part of our Vault. This was back when my garage usually smelled like spray paint and hot glue—relics of a time when we met around a physical table.

I picked one of these up at Party City a few weeks back and never really did anything with it.

This past weekend I got a bit creative with some craft paint, some cardboard and some paper towels to make some mounts for my D6 Fantasy game.  Horses for the humans and elves, and a wolf (made from the dog model in the pack) for some goblin and halfling NPCs.

Mounts!

2026 VTT Reflection: Nowadays, I can swap a token from a horse to a wolf with a single click on the digital grid. It’s faster, sure, but there’s still something special about the janky charm of a hand-painted Party City wolf.

Be good, or be good at it. You got the juice.
